RefWorks

The library now subscribes to an online bibliographic management tool called RefWorks.

RefWorks allows you to enter bibliographic citations by hand or import them directly from library databases. You can then organize and automatically format your references according to one of the citation styles, including APA, MLA, AMA, currently used at Springfield College.

How to Search for Copyright Information

How do you get started with your research?  Simple - you need a plan.

Before you start, ask yourself these questions:

  1. What exactly is my topic?  Be as specific as possible!
  2. What type of information am I looking for?  Book, article, or something else?
  3. How much information do I need?  A few facts or as much as you can find?
  4. Do I need scholarly information or not?  There are ways to limit to scholarly material.

Your answers will help determine where and how to start your research.  In fact, many of the things you need are in this guide so the next step is to look around and see what's here.

Still have questions?  That's OK!  You can usually find me in the library on the days listed below and I'll be happy to answer any questions you have.
