Information Literacy Resources 

Information literacy, according to ACRL, is "a set of abilities requiring individuals to recognize when information is needed and have the ability to locate, evaluate, and use effectively the needed information."

Information literacy is a crucial part of the General Education curriculum at Springfield College.

Springfield College recieved a grant from the Davis Educational Foundation in 2007 to further information literacy in upper-level undergraduate science courses. Two groups of faculty in Fall 2007 and Spring 2008 have been integrating information literacy into their courses, with the help of librarians and faculty mentors.
