Searchpath - START HERE
Searchpath is an online self-paced tutorial that can help you learn basic library and research skills. There are five modules:
- Starting Smart - when to use what; types of information
- Keywords/Searching - keywords, combining ideas, limiting or broadening your research
- Finding Books - find e-books, books, videos, theses, and more at Babson Library
- Finding Articles - article databases—get those all important scholarly works
- Citations/Plagiarism - don’t get busted, play it smart!
Take SearchPath to gain an understanding of how the library works, and how to find what you need! Each module takes between 15 to 20 minutes to complete. You can either watch each one in order or mix and match. It's up to you!
RefWorks
RefWorks is a bibliographic management tool that will allow you to import, store and format citations for the articles you find. It also will help you format your research papers!
View the RefWorks Tutorial: Learn how to set up a RefWorks account, then zap references from library databases straight into your account, format them, and generate a bibliography with just a few clicks. Pick from 15 sections, which can take anywhere from 45 seconds to eight minutes to watch.
