This website is specifically designed as a starting place for students at our Wilmington Campus. In here you can find tips and information on where and how to look for information - whether it is from books, articles websites, etc. You can find tutorials to help you, different ways to get assistance from the Library, tips on how to get items, some starting places for writing-related questions and information on local resources.

How do you get started with your research?  Simple - you need a plan.   

Before you start, ask yourself these questions:

1. What exactly is my topic?  Be as specific as possible!
2. What type of information am I looking for?  Book, article, or something else?
3. How much information do I need?  A few facts or as much as you can find?
4. Do I need scholarly information or not?  There are ways to limit to scholarly material.

Your answers will help determine where and how to start your research.  In fact, many of the things you need are in this guide so the next step is to look around and see what's here.
